Toasting or roasting nuts brings out the richness and adds much more flavour to nuts while raw nuts tend to taste bland. There is no need to pay extra for roasted nuts when you can do it yourself.

Method 1 (on the stove):

1. Place 1 teaspoon of peanut or a flavourless oil in a skillet over medium heat.

2. Add nuts and let them toast stirring occassionally for about 7 or 8 minutes or until a golden brown colour develops.

3. Season with salt if desired, mix and enjoy!

Method 2 (in the oven):

1. Preheat oven to 375F/190C

2. Spread nuts on cookie sheet, add a few pinches of salt (if desired) and a touch of peanut oil.

3. Place in oven for about 10 minutes or until a nice golden brown colour developes.

4. Remove from oven
